The Temple Balsall  nature reserve has SINC status.

The Cuttlebrook flows through the reserve on its way to the main river Blythe.

The north reserve has wheelchair access throughout but the south reserve is wilder and much less accessible. Paths within the north reserve are also edged with a tap rail to assist the visually impaired.

In the north reserve there is also a permanent orienteering course.
