There is a qualified and experienced OLS teacher (Mick O’Shea), and a Conservation Officer based at Springfield.
The Centre specifically caters for children with Special Educational Needs (special schools, or mainstream schools with a special needs unit). Teaching sessions are based mostly in the outdoors and all have an environmental focus.

The Study Centre is set within an old walled garden, and has 10 acres of grounds. There is wheelchair access throughout the building and grounds.
